COVID-19 Treatment & Prevention

Current COVID-19 Treatment Options

Monoclonal Antibody

Antiviral Drugs

How can I get a prescription for the new COVID-19 oral antiviral drugs, Molnupiravir and Paxlovid?

CentraCare has received limited allocations of Molnupiravir and Paxlovid, the newly FDA-authorized, oral antiviral drugs for treating COVID-19.

Due to the extremely limited supply, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has given guidance on how to prioritize patients for these treatments. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are in your first five days of symptoms and would like to be considered for one of these time-sensitive treatments, call 320-351-1733 to be screened for eligibility.

Please note: This treatment is currently not available through CentraCare provider offices, urgent care or emergency departments due to restricted availability.

COVID-19 Prevention

Vaccines

EVUSHELD

How can I get a prescription for EVUSHELD?

CentraCare has received limited allocations of EVUSHELD, a newly FDA-authorized, monoclonal antibody treatment that can be given to people who are moderately to severely immunocompromised before exposure to COVID-19. This treatment will hopefully decrease their risk of contracting the virus.

Due to the extremely limited supply, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has given guidance on how to prioritize patients for this treatment. We are using the MDH criteria to reach out to eligible patients as we have doses available. This process will take time as the available medication allocations are very low.

Please note: This treatment is currently not available through CentraCare provider offices, urgent care or emergency departments due to restricted availability.
